Grace to Walk Like Jesus

Acts 4:33 " And great grace was upon them all ." You may not be a "minister". You may not be a pastor or a preacher. You may not have a "major" role in your church ( although if you're saved, you should have some role ). But my friend, God has given you  grace to serve Him in whatever you're doing! Hebrews 12:28 " Let us have grace , by which we may serve God acceptably. " In every area of your life (whether in "ministry" or in "secular" roles), God's grace is designed to elevate you to another level of service. Called By Grace It doesn't matter who you are - you were called by God. God's calling isn't about "ministry" (at least not in the sense that people often use that word - as if it only applied to preachers ). This calling is about separation. We've been called to be saints . Romans 1:7 " To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints.. ." ...

Grace to Follow God's Call

Up till this point - we've only discussed grace as it applies to sin  and obedience .      Grace will forgive every sin.      Grace will teach you right and wrong.      Grace will empower you to live righteous.      Obedience to God's laws can only come by grace through faith...not by fleshly attempts . But now, as we bring our discussion of God's grace to a close, we'll turn to the ultimate purpose  of the grace of God. This post will not be about how grace relates to obedience to God's law ....but rather, how it relates to God's call . You see, grace was ultimately given to us so that we can fulfill God's purpose for our lives . We've already read Hebrews 12:28, where we're encouraged to stay in grace, " by which we may serve God acceptably... " This verse isn't just about obedience to His law.
