God wants His people to grow up. We've been children for far too long. From this passage in Ephesians 4, we can clearly see that most of the modern-day Body of Christ has been stunted in immaturity:
"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,  Ephesians 4:11-14
Too many Christians believe their assumptions about God and their conclusions about what He wants for them.  But when it comes to the truth that is written in the pages of Scripture, we are tragically illiterate. The modern church has, for the most part, fulfilled Hebrews 5:12; they've been saved long enough that they should be teachers - but even after being taught in church for years - they're still needing someone to teach them the very basics of Christianity.
But there is a change coming! I believe there is a group of believers inside the modern church that is craving more than "inspirational" messages to tickle their ears. There is a remnant of Christians that is going to go further, dig deeper, and know the truth for themselves.
That's what this blog is for.
My goal is to take the fundamental teachings of Scripture and make them plain. I want to help give the church its foundation again:
The basics of Who God is and why we can trust His Word
The doctrines of righteousness and grace
Even concepts like healing, prosperity, and church attendance!
I want to equip everyone who will listen and root them in their faith.

So if you'll walk with me, we'll take this "line upon line, here a little, there a little". (Isaiah 28:10)
And as the body learns the truth together, we'll grow up in all things - taking on the very nature of our Head, Jesus!
Ephesians 4:15 (FourFifteen) "...but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ"

Why Are You Asking?

A Pointless Invasion? In 567 BC, the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar invaded Egypt. There was no easily understandable reason for this attack on the area around the Nile. Babylon had already crushed the Pharaoh's military might almost forty years earlier, so they weren’t a threat to the empire. Babylonian forces didn’t occupy Egypt after their invasion, so it wasn’t a land grab or expansion of Nebuchadnezzar’s rule. For all intents and purposes, the invasion didn’t seem to accomplish much and the Babylonian soldiers left Egypt shortly thereafter. God's Many-Sided Grace

" Grace " - If there's a word that's become divisive in Christianity today, this is it. Why would a beautiful concept like the grace of God be such a source of contention among believers? Why is there so much disagreement about what God's grace is  and what it does  for us? I believe the answer is found in 1 Peter 4:10 - " As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace  of God. " Pay attention to Peter's description of grace; he says it is " manifold " - or " many-sided ". God's grace doesn't do just  one thing, it has many different sides to it. But when you listen to a lot of ministers, you sometimes only hear one of these sides being taught.
