Lie # 20 - "Gender  Is Fluid" When I first taught this series, I touched on this topic as an issue of clarifying  roles.  The lie at the time - which was really just a few years ago - was that "gender equality" meant there were no individual roles for men and women. Back then, we were being told that, since men and women are equal in value ( something everyone in this country agreed with ), then there should be no distinction in the roles that they played. That was the lie back then - and how I miss those days!  Within about five years, that lie has shifted from gender roles  to the idea of gender identity . Now the lie is that the terms "man" and "woman" are as changeable and fluid as how you feel.  - "How do you identify yourself?"  - "What pronouns do you prefer?" Truth My Kids Will Know - Rich ≠ Greedy and Poor ≠ Virtuous

 Lie #19 - "Those Rich People Are So Greedy! " The idea of "Poor vs. Rich" isn't a new concept at all. It's been a common theme throughout history. It's a mentality that has caused countless crimes, has organized countless revolutions, and has ruined countless lives. And yet - for all the misery that this attitude has caused - it's never disappeared. Actually, it's still just as strong as it ever was. The fighting and division between 'poor' and 'rich' is a natural outgrowth of what Jesus called  covetousness.  In Luke 12:15 He defines what happens when a person is covetous: " Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses. "  The definition of being covetous isn't "wanting what someone else has."  The true definition of covetousness is " defining the quality of your life based on what you have or don't have.
